NYPD officer, John McClane, is out to save his wife and other hostages were taken by German terrorists at a Christmas party at the Nakatomi Plaza in Los Angeles. This movie screams 80s run and gun cop film. It certainly set a standard and made Bruce Willis a household name.
Forrest Gump (1994)
Forrest Gump, a kind-hearted guy with a 75 IQ lives through the presidencies of Kennedy and Johnson. Not to mention, he fights in the Vietnam War and receives multiple awards from a Purple Heart to a Medal of Honor. This film received numerous awards and nominations.
The Godfather (1972)
In this organized crime syndicate, the father’s aging presence makes him carry on the tradition when he passes down his empire to his reluctant son. Here’s one of the greatest mob films period.
Goodfellas (1990)
Henry Hill was half Irish and half Italian and was running with the mob. The movie showcases his falls and triumphs from 1955-1980. This is considered a classic 90s Martin Scorsese film.
