The pair, who originally announced her pregnancy in January with a belly-baring Harlem photo session, had their first child on May 13 in Los Angeles, according to TMZ, which was the first to disclose the birth Thursday based on anonymous sources. Rihanna’s agent did not respond to an email from The Associated Press requesting confirmation.

Authorities say A$AP Ferg was detained at Los Angeles International Airport on April 20 in connection with a shooting in Hollywood last year. The rapper, whose actual name is Rakim Mayers, is suspected of shooting a revolver at a friend, who suffered a minor injury and sought medical attention afterwards, according to police.
According to People magazine, A$AP Ferg and Rihanna, 34, are back in Los Angeles with their first child, according to an unidentified source.
