He was at least 30 years old. I let it slide and think we can potentially still have a nice time having a drink and I just won’t sign up for a second date. So we sit down and are in the middle of having a beer, having a decent chat I may add when we start discussing how our luck has been on tinder so far. I’m nearly done with my beer when he says “Yeah I figured to be successful I’d have to lower my standards, that’s why I matched with you.” I was absolutely floored and had no idea how to respond so I just excused myself to the bathroom, paid the waitress for my beer (and gave her a tip) and left.
