The sci-fi genre has a wonderful mix between technology, fantasy, and great action. There are numerous sci-fi films that are fun to watch. However, there are some movies that are timeless no matter when they’re watched. Here are 5 sci-fi flicks to see.
Back to the Future (1985)
Everybody would love to go back in time to see what would happen. Marty McFly, a 17-year-old high school of the 1980s goes back to 1955 with the help of a friend and scientist Doc Brown to fix things and make sure he doesn’t wipe himself out of existence.
Star Wars (1977)
Luke Skywalker joins forces with a Jedi Knight to help save the galaxy from the Empire. On top of that, his goal is to save Princess Leia from Darth Vader.
Terminator 2: Judgement Day (1991)
A cyborg, T-1000, is sent back through time to help save John Connor, son of Sarah Connor (who Terminator was originally supposed to kill). There’s another threat at stake, which is T-1000. He ends up saving that time from the bigger adversary.
The Matrix (1999)
Neo, the chosen one, was simply a computer hacker when he found out that the world he lives in is just a falsification of what the human mind would be. Instead of taking the blue pill, he takes the red one. Morpheous leads him down the rabbit hole and shows him the truth. The technology and the camera angles in this film were state-of-the-art. Certain things are still being copied from this film today.
The Fifth Element (1997)
In the 23rd century, cab driver and former elite commando Korben Dallas has a free trip to Fhlosten Paradise, but what he’s really doing is searching for the Fifth element to save the world and keep Mr. Zorg from taking over the galaxy.
