Where: Arizona and Utah
Why We Love It: You can see through the picture how Arizona and Utah’s “The Wave” gets its name. One of the reasons this area is so beautiful is because of the unique waves that are a part of this sandstone formation.
You’ll find the waves in the remote Paria Canyon-Vermilion Cliffs Wilderness. It’s a tourist location where you want to get your spot early because only 20 people are allowed in the area per day. You do have to hike to see the Jurassic-type sandstone but don’t worry because the view is totally worth it.
